hi guys,
thanks so much for all the support, i've been feeling so bad for the little munchkin. he has been sleeping pretty much all day but when he was up he was smiling and having fun during tummy time. we go back to the doc tomorrow am just as a follow up, but it will give me some peace of mind before the long weekend. ok, i know i'm the classic paranoid first time parent :)
so, two funny things about the er. when they first said they were getting a room prepared, i envisioned a regular hospital room. so when we walked in and it was the size of a regular room with this teeney tiny warming bed (same thing as in the labor and delivery rooms) it caught me off guard and made me laugh. so then i noticed the tv installed on the wall was facing toward the warming bed. and go figure no sooner after i mentionned how silly that was to scott, i caught brandon catching the ealry news tv :)
here is a website that might be good for the bottle feeding. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/index.html
i've been giving brandon one bottle a day and he really fluxuates on how much he eats. one day he took 5.5 ounces for my mom and another day it was only 2 ounces. so i've been making 6 ounce bags to be on the safe side. i know i'll probably waste a lot of milk, but i'd rather that than tons of screaming for my mom. so i've been sending her home with a cooler full of frozen milk bags and everytime she leaves, it looks like she is trasnporting a donor organ...
the only thing i have learned is to go gradual on adjusting your pumpiong schedule. the day i was sick, i pumped a bunch of botttles and my milk came in really fast. so when the little guy went back to nursing i had way to much and squirted him in the face and made him cough a bunch of times.
i hope you guys have a great long weekend!!!

Ha ha! I have squirted a many a time...sometimes across the room! That does go away as the baby gets older however! Generally your boobs gradually deflate as time goes on! Lovely....you should see what they look like after the baby is weaned!!
Hey...that is a great link Karen...I just used the milk calculator...and it is right on! She takes anywhere from 3-4 usually! Sweet! That was reassuring! Cool:) Thanks.
