Despite my attempts of staying away from the baby by having Mimi come to the rescue since I caught Scott's cold, I awoke at 2 am to find Brandon's little head feeling pretty warm. Figuring out how to do the rectal temp. in the early hours of the morning was definitely a bonding experience for Scott and I. Brandon's doc wanted him to go into the ER since he is so little with a fever. He was a trooper and endured the blood draw and even provided a urine sample. All cultures came back normal, so it looks like our little guy has a virus and just needs a few days of R+R . Even though everyone was really nice, we hope we won't be back there anytime soon!

Our trip to the ER
